Hubballi: After imposing restrictions on CBI investigations in the state, the Congress government is now obstructing NIA investigations in terrorism-related cases, said Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, expressing his anger.

Speaking to the media in Hubballi today, he strongly condemned the state cabinet’s decision to withdraw the Old Hubballi riot case from NIA investigation.

Minister Joshi expressed his outrage, stating that the cabinet’s decision to withdraw the case from NIA reflects Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s extreme religious appeasement.

He argued that the Old Hubballi riot was an incident equivalent to a terrorist act, and the case is currently in the NIA court. Despite this, the state government’s stance is unacceptable, he criticized.

Joshi pointed out that the High Court, Supreme Court, and trial courts have all rejected the bail applications of the accused. Despite opposition from the police and judicial departments, the Congress government’s move to withdraw the case supports the rioters, he claimed.

Accusing the state government of supporting those involved in terrorist activities, Minister Joshi said, “The Old Hubballi riot is a highly serious case, and I strongly condemn the decision to withdraw it from NIA investigation.”

While the Narendra Modi government is fighting against religious extremism and terrorist activities in the country, the Congress government in the state is working in the opposite direction by supporting terrorism, Joshi expressed in anger.

“Appeasement at its Peak”: Joshi further attacked the Congress government, saying that by withdrawing the Old Hubballi riot case from the NIA, the government is demonstrating the peak of appeasement politics.

He clarified that the Old Hubballi riot is not about Hindu-Muslim conflict, but a fight against anti-national and anti-social elements, said Minister Pralhad Joshi in his statement.
